Attending Commencement at Yankee Stadium
Large bags (larger than 16"x16"x8"), selfie sticks, laptops, flowers, balloons, metal water bottles, luggage, and other items are not permitted. Yankee Stadium does not provide a bag check. View the full list of prohibited items.
Candidates and guests enter through separate gates. Candidates enter through Gates 4 and 8. Guests enter through Gates 2 and 6. Gates are very crowded and there will be a line to enter. Gates open at 9:00 a.m.; please arrive early to pass through security and find a seat before the ceremony begins.
Following the ceremony, we suggest picking a meeting spot for after the ceremony. The plazas outside the stadium will be very crowded both before and after the ceremony. Guests are not permitted to leave the stadium and return on the same ticket.
Candidates are seated in sections by school on the field level. School sections are labeled at the stadium. Candidates may sit anywhere in their designated school section.
Guests are seated on the upper levels. Guest seating is by general admission. There are no assigned seats or sections for guests on the upper levels.
The stadium concession stands will be open. Attendees can purchase a range of food, water, and other beverages (alcohol will not be sold). Attendees can also carry in clear, factory-sealed bottles of water (1 liter or less) and empty plastic sports bottles to use at water stations.
