Entry, Exit, and Re-Entry

Candidates and guests enter through separate gates. Candidates enter through Gates 4 and 8. Guests enter through Gates 2 and 6. Gates are very crowded and there will be a line to enter. Please ARRIVE EARLY to pass through security and find a seat before the ceremony begins. Gates open at 9:00 a.m. for the morning ceremony, and at 4:00 p.m. for the evening ceremony.

Following the ceremony, we suggest picking a meeting spot for after the ceremony. The plazas outside the stadium will be very crowded both before and after the ceremony. Guests are not permitted to leave the stadium and return on the same ticket.

Health and Safety Protocols

All members of the NYU community, including NYU Commencement attendees, are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive a COVID-19 booster shot (if eligible for the booster based on CDC criteria). You and your guests must be able to produce proof of compliance if requested. Read the full vaccination policy for information for children and for those with valid medical and religious exemptions. The latest information about mask wearing will be posted the week of Commencement. Bring a well-fitted mask to be prepared in case COVID-19 conditions warrant required mask wearing.
