Students with Accessibility Needs
Graduates who plan to attend Commencement and who need accommodations should contact the Moses Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) at email@example.com or 212-998-4980.
Guests with Accessibility Needs
Enhanced accessibility is offered for guests with hearing loss or low vision and for those who are deaf and blind.
Accessibility at Yankee Stadium
Wheelchair Accessible Seating
Wheelchair-accessible seating is available on all guest seating levels at Yankee Stadium. Personnel will direct you to those seats on Commencement Day.
Available for recharging wheelchairs and other medical equipment. Please ask stadium personnel for assistance.
Elevators are available near all entrance gates. The stadium provides permanently stationed elevator operators in each elevator used by the general public.
Assistive Listening Devices
Available at no charge at the Guest Relations and Ticket Sales Booth adjacent to Gate 6 in the Great Hall. A valid credit card or acceptable form of picture identification (e.g. valid driver’s license or non-driver government-issued photo ID card) is required as a deposit. Guests have a choice of an ear speaker, stereo headset, or neck loop. Please allow time to obtain the ALD before the ceremony begins.
There are two dedicated open-caption video boards for guests who are deaf or have hearing loss: one in left field, just below Section 233B, and one in right field, just below Section 206.
Arriving by Subway
The Yankee Stadium/161st Street station (4, B, and D trains) is wheelchair accessible. Call 718-330-1234 or check service advisories at mta.info to confirm elevators are functioning.
If you are traveling by car with someone who uses a wheelchair or cannot walk long distances, we suggest you arrive early and drop them off at Gate 6 before you park. Please be aware these guests will not be able to enter the stadium before the gates open.
The parking garage closest to the stadium is the River Avenue Garage at River Avenue and East 162nd Street and the Ruppert Plaza Garage which is located on 161st Street and Ruppert Place.
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on all levels of Yankee Stadium.
Guests with service animals have the option of sitting in the general guest area or wheelchair-accessible seating. However, accessible seating areas will provide more room for service animals. If a guest with a service animal sits in general seating, the animal cannot block the stadium aisles because it is a fire hazard.
Guests with service animals who need to leave and re-enter the stadium must exit through the stadium lobby located at Gate 2. Security staff in the lobby will advise the guest on how to re-enter the facility.
