If you have lost your NYU Card or discarded your expired NYU Card, you will be charged a $25 replacement fee that will be automatically added to your Bursar account in 1-2 business days (payments to your Bursar account can be made by e-check on eSuite or in person at their 25 West 4th Street or 5 MetroTech locations.)

NYU Employees and Affiliates
All employees and affiliates must first be on-boarded by the Department of Human Resources or their home department in order to receive a new or replacement NYU Card. Once onboarded, employees and affiliates based at Washington Square should bring a valid form of identification (i.e., a State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport) to the NYU Card Center, located on the ground floor of 7 Washington Place, to have their ID photos taken by our team. Tandon School of Engineering employees and affiliates should bring valid identification to the Card Center, located on the ground floor of 2 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn. NYU Abu Dhabi, NYU Shanghai, and global site employees and affiliates should report to the Department of Public Safety offices at Abu Dhabi or Shanghai or to your Global Academic Center coordinator.
The month/year expiration date printed below your photo on your NYU ID Card represents the date on which your ID card will automatically expire. If you are a current, registered student and the date on your NYU Card has expired or is about to expire, you must have the Registrar's Office update your information in order to have a new card issued to you. For employees and affiliates, you must have the Department of Human Resources update your information, in order to be issued a replacement ID Card. Electronic access privileges are assigned on a semester basis and are based on several factors; therefore, your card may not work even if the card date is valid. Common reasons for your electronic access privileges to be deactivated are disenrolling from classes, not being enrolled in the current semester, or by no longer being a matriculated NYU student. Please check with the NYU Card Center for a status update.
If you separate from NYU for any reason, you must return your card, which is the property of NYU, to the NYU Card Center prior to your departure in order to avoid the assignment of any future fees.
