Support Resources at NYU
NYU IT collaborates with faculty to create a course that uses the flipped model so that faculty can make the most of the face-to-face time with students. Faculty can collaborate with a videographer, animator, data visualization specialist and instructional designer to design the best use of the “flipped” model based on the learning objectives, course content, and student needs. This includes designing effective student activities, producing media materials, and implementing the design with technology so as to create an effective and engaging learning experience. Enhancing a course with media and technology can seem like a big task to undertake alone. The instructional design service is a full service model that includes assistance with the design, pre and post development work, and full assembly in NYU Classes of the course.

At the Digital Studio, the NYU community can consult with technologists and designers who have expertise in digital scholarship, educational technologies, and instructional design practices. NYU faculty interested in flipped or blended learning will get help developing media content and creating instructional video modules with high-quality, engaging content.
