Bright Horizons - COVID-19 Update
Bright Horizons offers back-up care while ensuring the health and safety of families and their care providers. Please review Bright Horizons’ industry-leading COVID-19 protocols and safety measures.
Request a vaccinated caregiver:
When making a caregiving reservation, please use the notes section if you would like to request a Covid-19 vaccinated caregiver. After your reservation has been confirmed, you can place an inquiry with Bright Horizons to confirm the caregiver's vaccination status, or you can ask the caregiver directly during your introductory call which happens the day before your requested date of care.
Back-Up Care Program - Child and Adult
Bright Horizons Back-Up Care helps to cover care gaps for school breaks or nanny/babysitter vacations in a high-quality child care center, camp program, or at home. You can also arrange temporary in-home care for an adult anywhere in the U.S.
Use the program when you have planned or unplanned interruptions or changes to your usual care arrangements that would prevent you from performing your work responsibilities. While Bright Horizons will make every effort to accommodate care requests, availability is not guaranteed, especially when requests are made less than 24 hours in advance.
- The benefit includes up to 10 days of subsidized back-up child and/or adult care per year.
- Reservations can be made 60 days in advance for center-based care and in-home care and up to 90 days in advance for camp care.
- Employee cost for center-based child care: $15 per child or $25 per family per day.
- Employee cost for in-home care for children and adults: $6 per hour.
- In-home care requires a minimum of four hours, available up to 10 hours of care in one day. Any number of hours used in one day will count as one day of use.
- Co-payments are payable by credit card, debit card, or electronic transfer.
- Cancellation policy is now 2 business days in advance; if care is cancelled due to last minute vaccination status, faculty and employees should call Bright Horizons to receive credit for the day(s) originally scheduled.

Virtual Camps will be offered in a variety of interest categories including arts + crafts, STEM activities, movement, games and dance. Options will be available to employees during the Back-Up Care reservation process. Families will reserve their virtual camp day and can then pop in and out of the daily camp calendar based on their schedule and interests.
