Logos, Lockups, and Seals
Each school has three official logo variations (as explained below) that can be used in place of the all-university logos. You can download the schoolʼs logo from the folder below (NetID log in required). Refer to the accompanying School Logo Pages list for more information on each schoolʼs branding.
If you donʼt see the logo you need, please contact email@example.com.
Short School Logos
Short school logos use the schoolʼs shorthand name most commonly used by students, faculty, and staff. This version creates a strong graphical mark, is more flexible, and is easily recognized at a distance or in small sizes.
Long School Logos
The long version, or formal logo, includes the schoolʼs full name and is best used in instances when additional descriptive information will add value to the communication.
Stacked School Logos
The stacked version of the short school logo can be used to accomodate more compact locations.

NYU has study away sites across the globe. Each location has its own official logo.
You can download your study away locationʼs logo below (NetID log in required). If you donʼt see the logo you need, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Using the all-university logos is the best way to communicate your official connection to the University. For certain instances when it is important for your audience to know the office behind the communications, we have created official office lockups for all NYU offices, departments, and units.
You can download your officeʼs, departmentʼs, or unitʼs lockup below (NetID log in required). If you donʼt see the logo you need, or if you need a logo created for a newly formed office, please refer to our project request form.
The official seal of New York University combines a silver ceremonial “torch of learning,” which is carried in formal academic processions, with a group of four running figures symbolizing effort in the pursuit of learning. The seal carries the Latin motto Perstare et Praestare, which is generally translated as “to persevere and to excel.”
The NYU seal is not our logo, and it is meant to be used sparingly. It is primarily used for formal university-wide occasions and events like as a stamp on our diplomas or a symbol at commencement ceremonies.
