Commencement Magazine and Creative Branding Campaign
In collaboration with the Office of University Events, our team creates an overarching branding strategy to mark this important milestone for graduating students and their families each year. This includes print collateral, such as a magazine and program that can be taken away as a physical keepsake as well as stage design for the event at Yankee Stadium, digital displays, Jumbotron graphics, a video produced by our partners in Media Production, Commencement-themed graphics on the NYU website, and promotional giveaways.
Remind students—from the time invitations are sent out to the moment students move their tassels over at Yankee Stadium—of the major accomplishments they and their peers have achieved. Maintain editorial consistency and accuracy across Commencement materials and informational pieces regarding directions, event restrictions, and the process of ordering academic attire.
Each year for Commencement, our team creates communications that showcase exceptional students, honorary degree recipients, and award-winning faculty, reinforcing the value of an NYU education. Our design team creates a branded visual identity employed consistently across all Commencement collateral. For the Commencement magazine, we interview students representing each of NYU’s schools and programs and write profiles that highlight their achievements and favorite memories of their time here. Our content group cultivates a list of fun facts that represents the student experience while displaying some of the University’s impressive feats. We also incorporate descriptions of groundbreaking alumni to show graduates the amazing community they now join.
