Name Your Digital Assets
- All digital assets should be named prior to being uploaded to the Digital Asset Manager (DAM)
- Use only letters, numbers, or hyphens (-)
- Do not use spaces in the filename
- Do not use any punctuation marks or special characters in the filename

Supported Files
Documents
- Files should not exceed 2 MB
- File formats supported: DOC, PPT, XLS, PDF
Images
- Files should not exceed 2 MB
- File formats supported: JPG, GIF, PNG
- Animated GIFs are not supported
Videos
We require hosting all of your videos outside of the DAM using free CMS-supported services like NYU Stream, Vimeo, or YouTube. You can also take advantage of captioning services, easy video sharing, and playback metrics through these services.
Accessibility and Digital Assets
All of your webpage content, including digital assets, must meet NYU Digital Accessibility standards. Specific accessibility requirements for each CMS component are included within the applicable tutorials.
