Create a New Page

  1. From the main navigation, select Sites to go to your web site pages.
  2. Click or touch the text to open the next level of pages underneath that page until you get one level above where you want to add the new page
    (this is the "parent page").
  3. In the top right of the view, click on the blue Create button.
  4. From the dropdown options, select Page.
  5. The next screen displays the options for templates that are available under that path.
  6. Select a template option by clicking or touching in the icon. Make sure that a check mark appears in the icon.
  7. Click Next in the top right of the view.
  8. In the Title field, provide a brief descriptive title for the page content. The Title will be displayed in the published page's URL, on the page as its main page title and header, and wherever the page navigation displays.
  9. The Name field refers to the URL of the new page. Leave this field blank; the CMS will automatically generate a page URL based on the page title previously entered.
  10. Click the Create button.
    You should see a Success message pop up. If you click Open, you will go to the new page.
    If you click Done, you will be returned to the Site Admin. The new page will now be displayed under its parent.

Select the parent page and then Create.

Open an Existing Page

  1. Navigate to the page that you want to open.
  2. Select the page you want to open. A green check mark in a circle will appear when it's been selected.
  3. In the top left of the Action bar, click or touch Edit. The page will open.

Select the page you want to open and click Edit.


Page Properties

Page Properties can now be accessed via the Page Information icon on the top left of the page view. Note that publishing and View as Published options are now accessibile from this menu.

1. From an open page, click on the Page Information icon at the top left of the content view.

2. Select Open Properties to open the page property options.

Page Preview

Preview your page within the page authoring screen by clicking or touching Preview at the top right of the screen.

Note: In this version of AEM, links, expandables and menus will not open in Edit mode. You must view your page in Preview mode to check links.

Timewarp

Timewarp lets you view previous versions of the page that you are editing via the Timewarp tool.

  1. From the dropdown at the top right of the page, select Timewarp. A pop-up will appear allowing you to enter a date.
  2. When you are successfully in timewarp, the system will display a blue banner confirming that you are in timewarp mode for the date you entered. From here you can select a different date or exit timewarp mode.

Publish a Page

There are two ways to publish a page:

From within the page:  

  1. Within the page, click or touch the Page Information icon to expand the dropdown menu options.
  2. Select Publish Page. When the page is successfully published a note will appear letting you know that the page was published.

From the Site Admin view:

  1. From the Site Admin view, select the page you want to publish by clicking or touching in it's icon.
  2. Once the pages's icon shows a checkmark, click or touch Quick Publish from the horizontal menu bar.
  3. A popup will appear asking you to confirm. Select Publish.
    When the page is successfully published a note will appear letting you know that the page was published.
