DigiComm provides the Email Direct bulk email service for sending email blasts or subscription-based messaging to the University community. Email Direct is powered by a web-based email marketing platform called Emma, which allows users to create email messages through drag-and-drop components. Some features of the Emma-powered Email Direct system include a drag-and-drop interface, customizable templates, in-depth analytics, a simplified message release process, and the ability to save and edit drafts.

Migration to the new Emma-powered Email Direct, powered by Emma, will be done on a rolling basis; this means some groups will continue to use the original Email Direct while others will be using the Emma-powered version. Our priority is to migrate existing Email Direct groups and select Lyris Lists to the new Email Direct on a rolling basis.
