As part of ongoing initiatives to improve HR processes, the following checklists and templates are available to assist all HR professionals to perform the necessary tasks to successfully exit an employee.

HROs and Supervisors can use the HRO/Supervisor Checklist to identify and track the typical tasks that should be completed for each type of Separation or Transfer.

A Resignation Acknowledgment Letter can be used to confirm and document the separation details with the employee. Also, an Employee Separation Checklist is provided to inform the employee of his/her responsibilities prior to the last day of employment. The templates provided must be modified to include the relevant details.

A Transfer Acknowledgment Letter can be used to confirm an employee's transfer to another School or unit.

Finally, a Knowledge Transfer Template is provided to help the supervisor gather all the information needed from the employee to ensure a successful transition.
