We are NYU.

Prime and Prepare Before Day 1

Step 1: Prior to Your Onboarding Session

There is much you can accomplish before your first day at NYU – and we're here to help. Expect to receive communications from an onboarding specialist who will provide expert, personalized guidance in the time between accepting our offer and arriving for your first day. Your assigned specialist will soon contact you:

  • by telephone, to introduce themselves and securely collect your date of birth and social security number
  • by email, from nyuonboarding@nyu.edu, to share the date and time of your onboarding session and the supporting documentation you'll need to bring, such as your I-9, and how to access frequently used systems

Step 2: Attend Your Onboarding Session

Meet your onboarding specialist in-person, complete remaining forms, and get answers to any questions you may have as you prepare for your first day. Recommended attire is business or business casual since you'll have the opportunity to obtain your photo ID immediately following the session.

Step 3: Pick Up Your Photo ID Card

With locations in two boroughs, the NYU Card Center makes it convenient to obtain your photo ID, known around campus as your NYUCard. Beginning on your first day, you'll need and carry your NYUCard to identify yourself and access assigned facilities.
