Eligibility and Criteria

New York University recognizes and honors faculty and employees who have reached important service milestones in their distinguished career with NYU New York.

Distinctive remembrances and commemorative gifts are presented in recognition of years of service beginning with the fifth anniversary and every five-year milestone thereafter. A University tradition, the gift is reflective of NYU’s commitment to service and symbolic of the honoree's significant time and contributions to our community.

2018-2019 25-year honorees attend their celebratory dinner in April 2019. Celebrations have been held virtually for the 2020-2022 honorees.

Recognition of Honorees

University Recognition

NYU Human Resources administers the University-wide service awards, including a ceremony hosted by the President of NYU for faculty and employees celebrating 25 years of service. Honorees receive a gift to commemorate their milestone anniversary.

Local Recognition

In addition to the service awards, various schools and business units may recognize employees with their own special events and celebrations. Please contact your Human Resources Officer for further information on these functions.
