- New Manager Foundations, a 1-hour course by leadership expert Todd Dewett on LinkedIn Learning (access via NYU Home). The course provides practical advice to help you establish your identity as a leader, connect with your team, and become a successful first-time manager.

- The Manager’s Toolkit, NYU's place of reference for guidelines, policies, and tools to onboard, manage, develop, and offboard employees.

Is the program for me?

The program helps brand new supervisors create an action plan for success in their first 180 days in their roles. If you have been a supervisor for more than 180 days, other NYU leadership development workshops or programs will be most appropriate for you.

How do I enroll?

- Transitioning to Supervision:

  • Login to NYUHome and select the Work tab
  • Locate and select NYUiLearn
  • In the Search field, enter Transitioning to Supervision or LDR 804 (space between LDR and 804 required)
  • On the LDR 804 page, select Enroll

- New Manager Foundations:

  • Login to NYUHome and select the Work tab
  • Locate and select LinkedIn Learning
  • In the Search field, enter New Manager Foundations Todd Dewett
  • Select the course icon to launch, or save to saved courses for future viewing
