In early spring every (non-pandemic) year, NYU Government Affairs and the John Brademas Center for the Study of Congress host a trip to Washington, DC, giving students a chance to meet Members of Congress and their staff face to face, express their support for federal student aid programs, and learn about the intricacies of the political atmosphere of Capitol Hill.

About NYU DC Day

During this annual trip to Washington, D.C. sponsored by the NYU Office of Government Affairs,  NYU undergraduate students have a unique opportunity to meet Members of Congress and their staff face-to-face, voicing their opinions on federal student financial assistance programs, while learning about the intricacies of the political atmosphere of Capitol Hill.

Approximately 15 students are accepted to join the trip each year, with priority given to recipients of federal financial assistance. Selected student participants will be required to attend a briefing session the week prior to the trip. Transportation, food, and lodging are provided.
