On behalf of New York University, the Center for Student Life is pleased to invite the parents of new freshmen and transfer students, as well as our parents of students transitioning from abroad sites, to Alumni Weekend and Parents Day.
The day begins around 9am with a morning academic program hosted by the Undergraduate School or Program in which your student attends. We ask that only parents attend the morning program due to space constraints.
Continuing into the afternoon, lunch is available on your own or at one of our dining halls, followed by a number of workshops and Open Houses. All workshops are open to students and parents, however, space is limited. The day will conclude at 4pm with a reception hosted by the NYU Parents Council and President Andrew Hamilton. The evening is on your own.
A number of religious and spiritual programs, open houses and services on Friday and Saturday are also available on the Religious Life and Programs page.
We understand that your visit is also great opportunity to spend time with your son or daughter and explore the city. If you prefer, we also invite you to make the day your own, participating in what your schedule will allow.
