Congratulations!...your child made it to college; now what? Preparing for your student to begin college is a transition that can come with mixed emotions. As your student's needs evolve, learn about how you can fit into their lives and how to support their success from afar.
Preparing For Your Arrival to New York City
Whether your student is living on or off-campus, this session will focus on important logistical information to help you, and your student, prepare for how to get around NYU and NYC during move-in day and the first few weeks of classes. We will discuss strategies for move-in day, what to bring (and not to bring!), transportation within the city and typical trends to expect once your student is settled in.

Mental and Physical Wellbeing at NYU
This session provides parents and families with insight into the NYU resources and tools that help students establish healthy habits and address the common challenges faced by today's college students. You will have an opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, experts across NYU — including Counseling and Wellness, the Office of Global Spiritual Life, the Student Health Center, and the Moses Center for Student Accessibility.
