On October 31, 2020, Manhattan Community Board 2 and NYU hosted our 30th year of free, family-friendly Halloween fun. For the first time ever, we hosted a festive virtual Children's Halloween Parade with musical performances, a costume contest, a downloadable activity book and more. You can watch the virtual Children's Halloween Parade below!

The Children's Halloween Parade was made possible through the support of our sponsors.

About the Parade

Every year, Manhattan Community Board 2 and NYU host the Annual Children's Halloween Parade, one of the city's largest free children's events on Halloween Day. This year, due to COVID-19, we hosted the event virtually as a video that premiered on this page.

This time-honored tradition continues to bring CB2, NYU, and the community together in celebration of Halloween – even during the challenges of 2020.

— Arlene Peralta, Master of Ceremony and Senior Director at NYU

Meet Our Grand Marshals

We have community members join us as Grand Marshals to lead the Children's Halloween Parade each year. For our virtual parade in 2020, we named four Grand Marshals.

All four of our Grand Marshals have continued to give back during this difficult time – by serving on the ground as essential workers, caring for our most vulnerable citizens, and engaging with local government. Thank you to all our Grand Marshals for your hard work and for attending and supporting the Children's Halloween Parade over the years!
