April 13, 14, and 15 | Nonprofit Forum
On April 13, 14, and 15, join NYU Community Engagement for a series of virtual conversations with community partners and NYU experts on tools for nonprofit survival in 2021. For nonprofits facing the ongoing changes of the pandemic, skills in marketing, board recruitment, volunteer engagement, and operations management are especially valuable.
Join us for collaborative discussions on how to reopen your facilities, engage volunteers, and tell your organization's story to recruit board members. Learn more and RSVP for the Nonprofit Forum.
Edgar Allan Poe Room Event
Every semester, Lois Rakoff, Community Director of the Poe Room, and NYU present an event celebrating the life and legacy of Edgar Allan Poe. Community members and NYU come together and partner on the Poe Room Event each fall and spring. Please stay tuned for more information about next semester's Edgar Allan Poe event.
About the Edgar Allan Poe Room
The Edgar Allan Poe Room, located at 245 Sullivan Street, honors the legacy of Edgar Allan Poe's writing and life. Visit to see Poe-related artifacts and a detailed timeline of Poe's life.
Free and Public Events Blog
In addition to NYU Community Engagement's events, NYU and local organizations host a wide range of free and open to the public events every semester. We list some of these events in our Free and Public Events blog. Events currently listed are all either virtual or socially distanced events.
Every year, NYU Community Engagement hosts a series of free and public events. Past events have included our annual Children's Halloween Parade (below left) and our annual Community Fund Reception for recipients of grants from the NYU Community Fund (bottom right). We also host one-off events each semester, like our tour of NYU Art Galleries which we hosted in the spring of 2018 (top right).
