Pianist and composer, Ignacio Montoya Carlotto, was born in 1978 and was raised in Olavarría, province of Buenos Aires with the name Ignacio Hurban. In August 2014 he consolidated his identity when he was recognized as the son of Laura Carlotto and Walmir Oscar "Puño" Montoya and grandson of Estela de Carlotto, President of the Grandmothers Association of Plaza de Mayo.
He has an important work in teaching and until 2014 he was director of the "Hermanos Rossi" music school in Olavarría. He has edited several albums and collaborated with artists all over the country, like Carlos "Negro" Aguirre, George Haslam, Paolo Rossi, Jerónimo Carmona, Liliana Herrero and Adrian Abonizio to name a few. Over the years he has maintained a significant social commitment as a musician.

In 2015 he released his third album, this time with his “Septeto”, recorded at Fort Studios with the legendary Portuguese sound technician Da Silva.
He has participated as pianist and composer of several groups that are part of the Jazz and Rock Porteño scene, like the “Ignacio Montoya Carlotto Septeto” and the “Errant Orchestra”. He is also part of: the tango duo “Ignacio Montoya Carlotto - Daniel Rodríguez” (tangos waltzes and milongas), the "Jazz Organ trio" with Esteban Landoni and Nicolás De Martini, and of “Forasteros Blues”.
