May 21, 2021

On May 12, President Andrew Hamilton and members of NYU’s Senior Leadership Team sent a communication on the University’s plans to reconvene on campus in fall 2021. In addition to reviewing vaccination requirements, the message outlines the University’s forecasts for student housing and dining, study away, teaching and research, and more.

Provost Katherine Fleming and Executive Vice President Martin Dorph announced in their April 19 summary update that the University will require vaccinations for all students returning to NYU in fall 2021. The message covers information about the NYU Student Health Center’s vaccination effort, the University’s travel policy, and CDC guidelines for fully vaccinated individuals.

Following public health guidelines, Dr. Carlo Ciotoli, Executive Lead of the COVID Prevention & Response Team, sent a recent communication to the NYU community with detailed guidance on uploading proof of vaccination and accompanying changes in campus access.

Community members are encouraged to visit this FAQs page, which addresses common questions regarding the University’s decision to require COVID-19 vaccinations for students attending NYU New York and other U.S. sites.
