“As a first generation college student, I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived at NYU, but I have found a wonderful community here that I absolutely love. The connections that I’m making here with such a diverse and talented group of friends and professors would not be possible anywhere else, and I would not have had the amazing opportunity to come to NYU if it weren’t for this scholarship. I come from a single parent family that doesn’t have the ability to pay for my college education, so I am working to pay for everything that isn't covered by financial aid.”

Meet the NYUAA Board: Richard Lim (WSC ’63)

Richard Lim

Richard Lim, a 1963 graduate of Washington Square College, is serving his third year on the Board, where he is a member of the Volunteer Leadership Outreach Committee. Lim makes his home in Honolulu and travels to Asia frequently for his work as president of Quest International.

NYU Opens Major New Tech Hub In Downtown Brooklyn

The Center for Urban Science and Progress moved into 370 Jay Street in Brooklyn.

The five-year transformation of a moribund former MTA headquarters building into a major center for technology, emerging media, and the creative arts took its most important step forward as NYU’s Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) became 370 Jay Street’s first occupant.
