NYU Black Alumni Network

The NYU Black Alumni Network seeks to empower, connect, and celebrate the Black Community within the greater New York University network. The Black Alumni Network unites the presence of alumni and students of the NYU community through efforts with the NYU Alumni Relations, establishing relationships, connections and opportunities to alumni of the African diaspora. Our goals include:

  • Providing opportunity for networking and professional development
  • Providing support to the community through volunteer opportunities
  • Connecting to current students and the University
  • Increasing the number of active alumni
  • Developing new experiences and opportunities to alumni

The NYU Black Alumni Network connects alumni who identify with the Black and African American community to NYU and to one another through various social, cultural, educational, and community service events in the New York City area and beyond. Additionally, the group is involved in major diversity initiatives of NYU, including collaborations with current students through the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP), the NYU Equity Diversity and Inclusion Task Force, Martin Luther King, Jr. Week and Black Graduation. In addition to supporting scholarship funding, NYU Alumni and Parents Day events.
