NYUAA Awards: Nominations
The NYU Alumni Association (NYUAA) is proud to recognize outstanding graduates from across the University for their exceptional personal and professional achievements. Awardees are selected through a comprehensive nomination and evaluation process by the Awards Committee of the NYUAA Board, and the contributions they have made in their communities and around the world exemplify NYU’s spirit.

Distinguished Alumni Award
Criteria: A respected and distinguished graduate of any school, college, or division of NYU who has demonstrated extraordinary achievement and/or service in professional, vocational, social, or cultural endeavors, and who deserves acknowledgment as embodying the spirit of distinction that brings pride to the University.
Distinguished Young Alumni Award
Criteria: Presented to an NYU graduate, age 40 or younger at the time of nomination, for outstanding achievement in business or professional life, or for significantly improving or enhancing the lives of others through outstanding leadership or service. The graduate’s deeds and actions thereby reflect and recognize the importance of their education and bring honor to New York University.
Eugene J. Keogh Award for Distinguished Public Service
Criteria: A respected and distinguished public figure of recognized stature or identity, who has clearly demonstrated a record of outstanding public service in professional, vocational, social, or cultural endeavors, and who, by receiving this award, brings honor to the University.
Meritorious Service Award
Criteria: A respected and distinguished graduate of any school, college, or division of NYU who has demonstrated extraordinary service and continuing devotion to Alma Mater and who embodies the University motto: to Persevere and to Excel. Current NYUAA Board Officers are not eligible.
