NYU Alumni Access Featured Past Events

NYU Alumni in Mexico gathered to watch the first episode of the new Netflix series El Chapo, the day after its premier. Following the episode, alumni heard from starring actor Rodrigo Abed, along with others who had worked on the show. Following the conversation and Q&A, alumni enjoyed food, drinks and mingling. 

NYU alumni enjoyed an all-access exclusive after hours tour of the New York at Its Core exhibition, guided by Museum Scholar, Dominique Jean-Louis (GSAS ’17) 

NYU alumni enjoyed seeing Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet Of 1812 which is produced by Howard Kagan (STERN '87) and Janet Kagan (STERN '95). Following the performance, they heard from cast members for an exclusive talkback.

NYU alumni enjoyed a night on Broadway seeing Waitress: A New Musical featuring Steinhardt's very own Jeremy Morse (STEINHARDT ’08). Following the performance, alumni met Jeremy for an exclusive talkbalk.

NYU alumni and friends joined Charlie Mierswa (STERN ’90), EVP & CFO of the Barclays Center and Brooklyn Nets, for pregame networking in a private area of the 40/40 Club. Afterwards, they enjoyed the game as the Brooklyn Nets took on the San Antonio Spurs!

NYU Alumni enjoyed a private evening at the original Blind Barber location in the East Village to hear from co-founder Jeff Laub (CAS ’06) about how the barbershop/speakeasy business came to be. Guests also enjoyed appetizers and a specially curated NYU cocktail.

Guests enjoyed a guided tour led by Lucrezia Buccellati, the first female designer of the house, speaking to the timeless design aesthetic and refined craftmanship of the displayed collections. Following the tour, Lucrezia will host all our guests with an authentic Italian three-course seated dinner.

NYU Alumni enjoyed a night at the theatre enjoying Holiday Inn and a special talkback with Michael J. Passaro (TSOA ’84, GAL ’88), the show's Production Stage Manager.

NYU alumni discovered a whole new world at Aladdin, the hit Broadway musical, starring Adam Jacobs (TSOA ’00) in the title role. After the show, guests enjoyed an exclusive 15-minute talkback with Adam and other cast members.

NYU alumni got the dirt on urban farming, a burgeoning industry taking root in NYC. Brooklyn Grange is the world's largest rooftop farm. NYU Professors Ben Flanner, President and Director of Agriculture; and Gwen Schantz, COO, walked alumni through a presentation on the fundamentals of their business followed by a tour of the 65,000 square foot intensive green rooftop of Building Three at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. 

A group of 20 alumni had access to an exclusive Yoga on the Terrace session with Baptiste Yoga and Lululemon, followed by brunch at the Element Fresh at Shanghai Center. 

NYU Alumni Access and NYU Steinhardt Alumni Relations welcomed to see The King and I, starring alumnus Daniel Dae Kim (TSOA ’96) in the leading role of King of Siam and Ruthie Ann Miles (STEINHARDT ’07) as Lady Thiang. Following the performance, attendees met Ruthie and Daniel for an exclusive talkbalk.

The private tour of the Olafur Eliasson Exhibition at Long Museum in Shanghai was quickly sold out, and received outstanding feedback from attendees. This special tour was led by NYU alumnus Ara Yun Qiu (TSOA, 2014), curator at the Museum. 

NYU Alumni in South China embarked on a Two-Day Sailing Trip led by Law alumna Selena Guan Wang (LLM '10) 

NYU alumni experienced the Tony-winning musical The Book of Mormon starring alumnus Nic Rouleau (STEINHARDT ’09) in the leading role of Elder Price. Following the performance, we met Nic for an exclusive talkbalk.

Alumni took an exclusive tour of the world-famous Woolworth Building’s magnificent lobby guided by NYU Professor Anthony W. Robins. The grand entrance to what was dubbed “the Cathedral of Commerce” is a landmarked interior space unrivaled by any other on the North American continent for its scale, craftsmanship, beauty and sense of humor.

NYU alumni enjoyed a private Q&A and ride with Gabby Etrog Cohen (SPS ’07), SoulCycle’s SVP of public relations and brand strategy. We learned about Gabby’s journey from NYU to SoulCycle, and how the company’s iconic brand, high-end service, impressive customer loyalty have led to such tremendous success.

The darling of the 2014 Tony Awards®, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder earned an eye-watering 10 nominations and won four, including Best Musical! After the performance, NYU alumni met cast member Adrienne Eller (TSOA '15) for an exclusive 20-minute talkback.

NYU Alumni cheered their favorite teams at the Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees baseball game at Rogers Centre Stadium.
