Benefits Frequently Asked Questions
What are my alumni benefits?
While NYU offers many direct benefits to Alumni, there are also additional benefits that NYU offers through third party providers. Benefits include, but are not limited to, discounts on entertainment, dining, travel, transportation, shopping, financial services, and insurance. Additional information about these benefits can be found on the main benefits page, Perks Connect, and on Third Party sites.
How can I receive information and communications about alumni benefits?
You can update your contact information and indicate which communications you would like to receive in the alumni communications preference center. By completing or updating your contact information, you will ensure that you receive the quarterly alumni benefits newsletter and offers about alumni specific discounts via email or direct mail.
What's a NetID? An N Number? Do I have those?
All alumni have an NYU NetID and an N Number (or university ID).
Your NetID is a combination of your initials and a few random numbers, e.g., abc123. Your NetID is your username for all NYU online services, including your NYUHome account, ALBERT, NYU wi-fi, as well as is the prefix for your NYU email address (example: firstname.lastname@example.org).
Your NetID is different from your N Number (sometimes calld the university ID), which is also printed on your NYUCard, but is a longer string of numbers and starts with an "N."

Can alumni use Bobst Library?

In addition, members of the Friends of Bobst Library will receive invitations to library events including exhibition openings, receptions, and author readings, as well as, a subscription to the NYU Libraries newsletter, Progressions.
Alumni interested in additional or more frequent visits to Bobst Library and resources may do so through the Friends of Bobst Library program.
