Space in NYU's residence halls is extremely limited for January Term, and it is highly unlikely that we will be able to offer visiting students on campus accommodations. All students should prepare to live off-campus in case university housing is not available.
Each one of our residence halls offers a stimulating and supportive environment where you can participate in a vibrant community and take maximum advantage of the unique personal, educational, professional, and cultural opportunities both NYU and New York City have to offer. January Term students will be placed in apartment-style buildings. The apartments have suite-style bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen with appliances. Most residence halls are located approximately 15-30 minutes from historic Washington Square Park, the center of NYU's Greenwich Village campus.

Residence halls have a resource center where students can pick up mail and get information about services and activities.
Students should consider a meal plan to eat in on-campus dining facilities. Dining halls may not be open, during January & Summer terms.
There are lounges and common areas in each residence hall for movie nights, study group meetings, and socializing.
Students live in with roommates in one- or two-bedroom suites
