Earn college credits online this Spring from NYU! Explore a possible future degree or discover a new passion through interactive online classes taught by NYU's award-winning faculty. As a Precollege student, you will gain invaluable college-level academic experience, and connect with NYU classmates from around the world.

Precollege will be exclusively online for the Spring 2021 semester.

Program Dates: 

January 28 - May 18
Application Deadline: January 10

Due to the limited number of seats, admissions will be based on a rolling basis. The final application deadline is January 10, however, the application may close prior, depending on availability.


Students currently in their 10th, 11th, or 12th grade year may apply to NYU Precollege for the Spring 2021 semester. Students may not have multiple active applications to credit-bearing programs at NYU. Early Decision II and Regular Decision undergraduate applicants to NYU for Fall 2021 entry are instructed that they will not be considered for admission to spring Precollege.

Choose Your Courses


Over the 15-week semester, you can earn up to 8 college credits (two courses). Online courses are offered in more than 30 academic subjects, including Applied Psychology, Intro to Cell and Microbiology, Intro to Dramatic Writing, and much more.

NYU experts will share their knowledge in this series of optional workshops to prepare Precollege students for college success. Through College 101, students learn how to conduct research using library resources, how to navigate financial aid, how to prepare for a career beyond college, and more.
