faculty leading a classroom

About the Program

The NYU Collegiate Seminar Program offers high school juniors the opportunity to experience college-level classes at a top-tier research university. Selected students will participate in one or more two-hour seminar-style classes taught by leading NYU faculty in a variety of academic subjects.

This fall, you can experience the dynamic, intellectually rigorous environment of an NYU classroom as a high school student. Small, seminar-style classes allow students to engage in discussion with faculty and classmates on some of today's most pressing topics. Explore how photography can be used to advocate for social change; discover how climate change is impacting urban infrastructure design; or examine religious liberty under U.S. law. View the Fall 2023 Collegiate Seminar schedule below.

The NYU Collegiate Seminar program is free to attend, and open to U.S. high school students who will be in the 11th grade in Fall 2023.

How to Apply

Participation in the Collegiate Seminar is selective. Students must be nominated by a teacher or counselor at their school in order to apply. Students select their preferred seminar during the nomination and application process and, if selected for admission, will be placed in one or more of their preferred classes.
