In-Person Event Safety Guidelines
We're thrilled to announce that our Bonomi Family Admissions Center is open for limited, outdoor tours of our Washington Square campus with a current graduate or professional school student. Register to learn about the schools, colleges, centers, and institutes that make up professional and graduate programs at NYU.
As we re-open our doors to visitors, your safety is our priority. NYU's visitor policy now requires all campus guests to be up-to-date in their vaccinations against Covid-19, which includes a vaccine booster. Upon arrival, all guests must present a photo ID and proof that they meet the CDC definition of being fully vaccinated and boosted. If you are not fully vaccinated and are not able to abide by our new safety protocols, you will not be able to participate in our in-person campus visits.
NYU's visitor policy now requires all campus guests be up-to-date in their vaccinations against Covid-19, which includes a vaccine booster (eligibility for a booster vaccination depends on your age, the type of vaccine received, and your last dose date). This enhanced requirement is part of our commitment to keeping NYU and New York City safe.
Up to date on your vaccinations means you have completed your primary vaccination with a FDA-authorized (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson) vaccine or those listed by the World Health Organization at least 14 days ago and received a booster vaccination or are not currently eligible to receive a booster vaccination.
Proof of vaccination may be given in the form of the New York State Excelsior Pass Plus, a paper copy, or a digital image of a guest's vaccination card. If you are not up to date on your vaccinations, you will not be able to participate in the campus tour.
What to Bring
You'll be asked to provide photo ID and proof of vaccine at check-in. (Proof of vaccination may be given in the form of the New York State Excelsior Pass, a paper copy, or a digital image of a vaccination card.)
Don’t forget to bring a mask! You’ll need to wear one during the tour and inside the Bonomi Family Admissions Center. Note that cloth masks are only acceptable if being used as a second layer over a disposable mask. FYI: Your guides will be masked up, too.
If you're planning to take a self-guided tour, we still recommend masking up. The self-guided tour will be entirely outdoors, so you'll have discretion about when to wear it, but if you use the subway you'll need a mask!
Who Can Join Me?
To keep everyone safe and our tour groups small, each student may be joined by one guest over the age of 18 on our guided tours, but there's no limit on who you can take with you on a self-guided tour! Please make sure to choose the best option for your family. Unfortunately, additional travelers may not wait in the Bonomi Family Admissions Center if you choose a guided tour, but don’t worry—there’s so much to do and see in and around our campus!
Campus visitors are not yet permitted inside campus buildings, therefore this is an all outdoors tour. The only indoor space you will be able to access during your visit is our Bonomi Family Admissions Center for check-in. You must be registered for a tour in advance to access this space. Once inside, there are restrooms, hand washing, and hand sanitizing stations available for your use.
