We continue to be grateful for the generous support of our community who, over the past months, supported thousands of relief fund awards to NYU graduate and undergraduate students resulting in excess of $11,500,000 in grants distributed to students with immediate financial needs due to COVID-19. The University is committed to using Federal CARES Act funding for direct student assistance, including continuing the NYU COVID-19 RELIEF GRANT program, into the fall. Enrolled students with financial need will be considered due to hardships they might be experiencing associated with the disruption of on-campus services, such as supplies, technology, and other limited educational expenses.

The process to apply is simple and open to all students - undergraduate and graduate - with priority for those who have filed for and received financial aid. Students need to be enrolled in the semester for which they apply.

To Access the NYU COVID-19 RELIEF GRANT Appeal Form:

  • Log in to your NYU Albert Student Center and click the ‘Finances’ tab
  • Click the ‘COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund’ button to access the form
  • Complete the form by checking the COVID-19 reason for your request related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus (i.e. food, housing, course materials, technology, internet connectivity, child care) and amount you're requesting, and submit

Should you have any questions, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 212-998-4444 or financial.aid@nyu.edu

NOTE: Students are limited to making one appeal per semester. If you have already received a COVID-19 Relief Grant for the current term and have additional technology or connectivity needs, please reach out to the Office of Financial Aid at financial.aid@nyu.edu with the subject line Supplemental Technology Request. A financial aid counselor will be in touch to review your options.
