Learning about Spain

Each semester, the NYU Madrid staff plans several day trips and weekend excursions outside of Madrid, all of which are included in your tuition. Your understanding of Spain is broadened by journeys to other regions, such as overnight trips to Córdoba, Bilbao, or Salamanca.​ You will ​also have the opportunity to learn more about Spain'​s history and culture on the day trips to Segovia, ​El Escorial, and Toledo​.

Advancing Your Spanish Language Ability

In additon to learning Spanish in a language class and speaking and hearing the language in your daily encounters, NYU Madrid coordinates an intercambio program. The intercambio is a series of events that bring together students from local Spanish universities to engage in fun and social events with NYU students to practice the language and get to know Madrileños of the same age.
