The winners of the 2020-2021 awards navigated new teaching terrain that challenged their expertise and experience as never before during the pandemic. As we returned to the classroom, they learned to navigate the effects of a global pandemic on their students' learning, and to value some of the silver linings of remote teaching. They learned that technology offered opportunities to connect with students at a distance as never before, and how techniques to engage students made for better connection in-person. And they continued to learn the value of inclusivity, regardless of their teaching format.
