German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
DAAD provides several opportunities for study and research in Germany. Below are two of the most popular programs:
- The Study Scholarship is offered for a full master’s degree program at a German university or for study at a German university as part of a graduate program completed in the home country. Research Grants are typically limited to candidates who have completed a graduate degree. Candidates with only a bachelor’s degree will be considered in exceptional cases. [Students interested in applying through NYU are encouraged to pay close attention to the details on the GSAS DAAD webpage. Undergraduate advising will take place through the Office of Global Awards, but submission will take place through GSAS.]
- The University Summer Course Grant provides funding to attend courses on German language, culture, politics, and economics. Applicants must have at least sophomore standing before the program begins.
