Living on campus is one of the most exciting and meaningful experiences students have at NYU Abu Dhabi. Tour the housing facilities in the video below. Read on to learn more about campus housing; take a sneak peek into life on the highline; and check out the many dining facilities you will be able to enjoy during your time in Abu Dhabi.

Campus Housing

Living on campus is an integral part of the NYU Abu Dhabi study away experience and all students are required to live in campus housing.

NYU Abu Dhabi residential colleges are divided into three buildings, where the floors are separated by gender. There are also designated areas within the residential colleges dedicated to the non-visitation community, where individuals chose to live separately from members of the opposite sex. Your suite consists of 2 double bedrooms, a common area, kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. Suites are furnished with a couch, coffee table, and dining table with four chairs. You will have a bed, a desk with a chair, and a wardrobe with a chest of drawers in your bedroom. Linens and towels are provided by NYUAD.

Life on the Highline

Inspired by the Highline park in New York, the Highline on campus connects all of the residential buildings on the first floor of the campus. The Office of Residential Education is committed to the holistic growth and development of every student. Resident Assistants (RAs), who are upper-class students, live in the student residences and serve as easily accessible role models, peer counselors, and information resources. RAs also play an important role in planning study breaks, floor meetings, and social, cultural, and educational programming.

The NYUAD Public Safety team maintains a visible presence with uniformed security guards stationed throughout all campus locations, including student residences.

Every floor has a student lounge equipped with a kitchen, microwave, water cooler, laundry room with washers and dryers, an iron and ironing board, and an LCD television.

NYUAD-operated restaurants provide made-from-scratch offerings, including global fare, rotating menus, a self-serve salad bar, and made-to-order grilled items. The campus convenience store offers essentials like toiletries, basic grocery items, and something to snack on between classes.
