Call for Global Artwork — NYU Jazz Orchestra

The NYU Jazz Orchestra will perform One World Suite, composed by Shemaria, which describes the beauty of our planet along with spoken word that conveys the issues we face if we don’t take climate action. Throughout the live performance, artwork depicting the beauty of our planet, climate change issues, and the artist’s vision for positive global change will be projected across the stage along with the artist’s name and country. We invite artists from across the globe to submit their artwork to be selected for this most important performance. Please submit a high-rez JPEG of your artwork.

Short Film Competition: Stories of Climate Change 

Win an all-access Sundance Collab Membership, cash prizes, and more by creating a short film no longer than 5 minutes describing the impacts of climate change on your lives! Cellphone productions are welcome, and all NYU community members (students, staff, faculty, alum) are invited to participate.

Submit your film by April 3, 2023! 

Climate and Sustainability Opinion Essay Competition

Undergraduate students, share your climate stories and advocate for the changes the climate crisis demands. For writing only 750 to 1,250 words, you could win cash prizes and have conversations with editors from leading publications!

Re-Fashion Show: Buy Less, Choose Well, Make it Last 

Calling all NYU students to design up to 3 outfits that explore the environmental implications of how we dress. There are also opportunities to sign up as a model, fabricator, or hair and makeup artist.
