#TBTNYU: As far as we’re concerned, nurses deserve major accolades every day, every year—and that was before the current pandemic. But the World Health Organization has officially designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife in honor of Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday. For close to 90 years, NYU has been doing its part to produce top-notch healthcare providers, such as the Violets seen at right (ca. 1980s). We can only imagine the impact that these then-student nurses have made.
