Cool Course: Hip Hop Dance Culture

"It really allows you to just ground and center yourself," says one student of Steinhardt's Hip Hop Dance Culture course, which is open to students of all majors (non-dancers welcome!) and encourages students to connect to each other and to the art form's deep roots. "Whatever happened that day, you kind of leave it at the door."

"What did you learn? How do you see the world differently?" says professor Afaliah Tribune. "I'm not looking for the best dancer—I just want you to come to class and have fun and learn something before you leave me."
