"Most of NYU's administrative workforce transitioned to teleworking last week. In accord with the Governor's order, any remaining non-essential employees will be directed to work from home, and NYU's offices will continue to remain open and operate remotely.

"Having consulted with local law enforcement and State authorities, the move-out of students from the residence halls—which began earlier this week because the University believes the students are safer at home—will continue. NYU is arranging for food service—which is considered an essential function—for the students remaining in the residence halls.

"Researchers at NYU's Washington Square and Brooklyn campuses were notified today that only research activity deemed critical could go forward. This is in accord with the new State restrictions.

"The planned resumption of remotely-held classes on Monday is not affected by the Governor's order."
