An exhibit at NYU's Institute for the Study of the Ancient World tears open the human effort that went into making Babylon's Ishtar Gate.


A group of three curators at ISAW brought their expertise together to reveal the fascinating story of Ancient Babylon's grandest entrance. In this video, guest curator Anastasia Amrhein sheds light on the labor, materials and beliefs that made the gate one of the most impressive man-made sights of the Ancient World.
