Halloween_parade_in_Washington_Square_Park

WHAT:         

New York University and Manhattan Community Board 2 to host thousands of ghosts, ghouls, and goblins (also known as kids and parents) at the 29th Annual Children’s Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village. Children and families will march around Washington Square Park led by FogoAzul and the Grand Marshals. Following the parade, children will be treated to candy, face-painting, rides, and live entertainment, including Hot Peas ‘N Butter and DJ Ben the Beyonder.

This year's parade Grand Marshals, selected for their commitment and service to the Greenwich Village community, will be Anne-Marie Sumner, President Emerita of the Washington Square Association, and Florence Arenas, Community Coordinator for Manhattan Community Board 2.

WHEN:           

Thursday, October 31, 2019

Marchers will gather at 3 pm at the arch in Washington Square Park and the parade will start at 3:30 pm.

WHERE:          

The parade will assemble at the arch in Washington Square Park and will end at LaGuardia Place between Washington Square South and West 3rd Street where various activities will await children and families.

VISUALS:        

The parade provides very good, cute, daylight shots of kids in costumes parading around the park accompanied by parents. Good complement for coverage of the adult parade.  NYU students will perform and assist with distributing treats. Photos from previous parades can be found here.
