And I had the chance to meet graduating students whose parents had emigrated to the United States, and who were the first in their family to go to college. Encounters like these are what make being a university president so great.
"And they also cast in clear relief how antithetical the proposed immigration restrictions are to our country's values and how much talent we will sacrifice if they are allowed to go forward.
"So, I was delighted to learn of today's decision by the Court of Appeals, and delighted that NYU played some part by weighing in on that case with an amicus brief."
