Six Tisch alumni were recently nominated for Academy Awards in six categories, including Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Original Screenplay.
Six members of the alumni community of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts were among the nominees in six categories when the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced its nominations for the 89th Annual Academy Awards on January 24, 2017. Categories with NYU Tisch nominees included Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, Best Documentary Feature, Best Short Film, and Best Visual Effects.
The Academy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET. Below is the full list of Tisch alumni Oscar nominees:
