Deutsches Haus at NYU will present Art and Friends, an intimate summer show featuring works by associates and friends using different mediums, on Thursday, .June 30, at 5:30 p.m. German saxophonist Nicole Johänntgen will perform live at the beginning of the opening.

Nicole Johänntgen, saxophonist, teacher, and founder of SOFIA Support Of Female Improvising Artists, was born in Germany. She studied jazz and popular music in Mannheim and played concerts in France, Indonesia, Thailand, New Zealand, Sweden, Germany, and Switzerland. Nicole Johänntgen received the JTI Trier Jazz Award 2015 and produced nine CDs. As an ambassador, teacher, and musician she tours around the world and connects musicians from different countries. Currently Nicole lives in New York City and composes her first symphony.
