Alumni from across NYU received a total of seven Tony Award nominations, recognizing excellence in producing, acting, scenic design, and costume design.
NYU alumni of the Tisch School of the Arts, the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, the former Washington Square College, and the School of Law received a total of 7 Tony Award nominations, recognizing excellence in producing, acting, scenic design, and costume design. The nominations were announced on April 28, 2015 by Bruce Willis and Mary-Louise Parker.
Now in their 69th year, the American Theatre Wing’s Annual Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards honor excellence on Broadway in 24 competitive categories. The nominees are selected by an independent committee of 38 theatre professionals appointed by the Tony Awards Administration Committee. Tony Award winners will be announced at the 2015 Tony Awards Ceremony on Sunday, June 7, hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming at Radio City Music Hall.
