The 2014 Screenplay Showcase, launched for the first time this year by the Department of Dramatic Writing at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and its Tisch Asia campus in Singapore, honors and highlights the best feature-length screenplays from the BFA and MFA class of 2014, as chosen by the screenwriting faculty.

This year’s winners are Celeritas by Kimberly Barrante (MFA), James Dean America by Joseph Mango (MFA), Berzerker by Chris Colao (BFA) and Memoria by Hennah Sekendary (BFA). The complete list of winners and finalists, along with loglines and writers’ bios, are available here.

Similar to the Hollywood Blacklist, the Screenplay Showcase will help new graduates gain valuable professional exposure, while providing the industry with direct access to promising new talent.

“The Screenplay Showcase is a way to celebrate the innovative work of our students and introduce their extraordinary talents as they graduate,” said NYU Tisch Head of Screenwriting Joe Vinciguerra. “We have some of the best and brightest young screenwriters in our program and we want the film industry to take notice.”
