NYU graduates from Tisch, the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development and the Gallatin School of Individualized Study received a total of 11 Tony Awards nominations, including 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical, "A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder."
A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, a new musical written by Tisch alumni Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak, won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical at the awards ceremony held last night at Radio City Music Hall. Freedman also took home the Tony award for Best Book of a Musical for Gentleman’s Guide. Freedman and Lutvak attended the Graduate Musical Theater Writing program at NYU Tisch.
Tisch theater design alumnus Beowolf Boritt, (MFA, ’96) was also honored for Best Scenic Design of a play for his work on Act One.
