On June 17 at 6:30 p.m, Deutsches Haus NYU will present the director and the screenwriter of FINSTERWORLD, a 2013 German film premiering during the same week in Manhattan. The event is free and open to the public at 16 Washington Square Mews. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time, as seating is limited.
FINSTERWORLD is an ensemble piece focusing on the lives of twelve main characters and examining the themes of loneliness, ostracism, and the process of coming to terms with the past. The Deutsches Haus discussion includes director Frauke Finsterwalder and the screenwriter/author Christian Kracht. It will be moderated by Nein.Quarterly’s Eric Jarosinski.
