Winning Residence Hall in NYU Unplugged Competition Will Win Tickets to Bonobo DJ-Set on April 3rd

NYU Unplugged is a month-long contest that began on February 1 to encourage the University’s residence halls to reduce their use of electricity. Each hall’s reduction is calculated against an average of its last three years of February usage.

The NYU Unplugged contest is part of the Office of Sustainability’s efforts to help students find new and creative ways to conserve energy, as well as gain a deeper understanding of energy challenges we all face. Daily results of the competition are tracked online and are available on the Office of Sustainability’s Unplugged website ( The ultimate goal of NYU Unplugged is to encourage and empower students to change their energy consumption patterns.

Simon Green, AKA Bonobo, is an artist very much at the peak of his significant powers. His 2010 album “Black Sands” was the high watermark of his career to date; a masterful record, marrying Green’s inimitable melodic genius to cutting edge electronics, bass, and drums.
