Marcia Rock, director of the News and Documentary program at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, won a 2014 New York Emmy® Award for her documentary, “SERVICE: When Women Come Marching Home.”
“SERVICE,” which Rock directed, shot, edited, and co-produced, won in the “Military Program” category for the documentary that appeared on New York City’s WNET.
Rock was recognized at the 57th Annual New York Emmy® Awards Gala, held March 30 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square—and she was not the only NYU presence in the winners’ circle.
Three of Rock’s students—Andrea Romero of Telemundo, Christine Broomhead of WCBS, and Charlie Hoxie of Brooklyn Public Network—also won New York Emmys for their projects:
